Description
The Auberge Symmes Museum, located in Old Aylmer in Gatineau, is housed in a historic building constructed in 1831 by Charles Symmes. Designated a historic monument and a National Historic Site of Canada, it features the permanent exhibition “The Symmes Inn: Windows on the Ottawa Valley,” which traces the history and uses of this iconic site on the banks of the Ottawa River.
